Finland’s après-ski capital. The lifts stop at 16:00 and the bars fill straight after.
Levi’s bars are packed into the village at the foot of the front slope, officially called Sirkka, which is why the postal addresses say Sirkka or Kittilä. Hullu Poro Areena on Hissitie is the big room: two floors, ten bars and up to 1,700 people on concert nights. Bar Ihku on Keskuskuja and Pub Hölmölä on Hiihtäjänkuja carry the late shift, Public House Sohva and Pub Old Mates do beer and football, and Bar Alakerta on Myllyjoentie runs open-stage jams on Sundays. Restaurant Tuikku is the exception: it sits on the summit and hosts the afternoon après-ski when the ski season is on.
Everything except Tuikku is within walking distance in the village; the summit is reached by gondola, on skis or by the summit road.
Concert nights at Hullu Poro Areena are ticketed, usually around 25–30 euros; ordinary pub nights are free to enter.
V’inkkari and the après-ski venues run full hours only in the ski season, so outside winter check the venue before you plan the evening around it.
