Tornion Panimo is across the river from town. Lapland Brewery sits on the Teollisuustie estate, a short drive out of central Rovaniemi. Pick the brewery, then book a hotel you can get back from easily.
Brewing on the bank of the Tornionjoki began here in 1873. Hartwall closed the plant in 2010 and moved production south; in 2016 more than 1,900 small investors brought the brewery back through a crowdfunding campaign. It makes both beer and spirits, including Original Lapland Lager and Arctic Pale Ale, and runs tasting tours.
Rovaniemi's own brewery, out on the Teollisuustie industrial estate rather than in the town centre. Beers are brewed on site and served in the taproom beside the tanks. The brewery describes itself as Finland's northernmost. Friday tours run through the winter and need booking ahead.
